![]() This device is designed to be a hand-held unit. User-friendly Interface is Easy to Navigate Through SCT designed it to be used as a hand-held device, so the lack of a mount makes sense. Note that the pack does not include a mount. The package includes both the OBD2 adapter cable as well as the Micro USB Cable to save you from making additional purchases. Since this hand-held unit does not operate on battery, an OBD2 cable is a must. It is also good to know that SCT is supplying its best-selling X4 programmer as a complete kit. With a tune customized for towing needs, you can completely rely on it for superior and efficient performance. The X4 is great at maintaining a consistently smooth ride. Not only do they have to handle their own vehicle, but they also need to keep an eye on the requirements of the trailer, camper, or any other vehicle towing behind them. Highly Suitable for Towing Vehiclesĭrivers of towing vehicles know how tough it is to drive such vehicles. Different driving scenarios call for different engine settings, so having a variety of tunes to keep up with your demands is a huge advantage. This feature is highly useful as you can get it to address your various driving needs with a specially customized tune for that purpose.įor example, you can store one for towing, and another one for street use. With 4GB of built-in memory, it can store up to ten tunes at any one time. This programmer is great at storing custom tunes. Has the Capacity to Save Ten Different Tunes at Any Time The SCT X4 makes for a great investment for a number of reasons. You cannot use them on any other vehicle before having it unlocked for a high fee. It is not a common feature as most tuners are designed to read the VIN and lock themselves on to the vehicle only once. One more aspect that makes X4 stand out from the rest is its ability to unlock itself five times before finally locking on the last vehicle permanently. However, if you are not satisfied with their optimization, you can always download custom tunes that are specially designed to cater to the individual needs of different drivers and their vehicles. These tunes are specially designed to increase the stock horsepower and torque. ![]() The reason here is that it is preloaded with some DYNO proven tunes. It is capable of functioning out of the box. Just connect it to the vehicle via the OBD2 adapter cable, and it is ready to use. Unlike many other tuners available on the market, this one is very simple and easy to program and use. It is a hand-held unit with a sleek design and quality hardware components. The SCT X4 allows you to take complete control of your vehicle and its performance. ![]() ![]() ![]() In truth, there is very little to separate the two versions of the game in terms of artwork and effects - as you might hope, bearing in mind the overall antiquity of the visuals. The game is a mess of shimmering jaggies and high-contrast edges and there's very little in the way of post-processing (for example, motion blur or bloom) that would help to mitigate the very visible aliasing, which is only exaggerated as the game is upscaled by the consoles to a 720p output. What we're seeing here looks like an 1152圆40 framebuffer on both console versions, without the benefit of any kind of anti-aliasing whatsoever. Unfortunately though, despite the simplistic graphics, this game doesn't actually run in a high-definition resolution on either console platform.ĭuke Nukem Forever compared on 360 and PS3 - use the full-screen button for 720p resolution, or click on the link below for a larger window. Perhaps it is best to view Duke Nukem Forever almost as a retro piece, and at a stretch you might even call it an HD remaster of a game that never came out. The notion of being able to wield just two weapons (patently and obviously nicked from Halo) just doesn't sit right in the overall scheme of the game. In terms of gameplay, there's a range of hit and miss "one hit wonder" ideas peppered throughout the campaign, which at least keeps things interesting, but the more magpie elements in the design aren't quite so welcome. Texture quality is often extremely low, suggesting that even the target PC spec for the game is somewhat ancient. Overall quality of the art often seems as if it hails from the late PlayStation 2 period, although we occasionally see a level of complexity akin to a year-two Xbox 360 title. ![]() That outfit named themselves Triptych Games, who then relocated to the offices of Gearbox Software and worked with Randy Pitchford's team in finishing the game, farming out console duties to Piranha Games, previously credited with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.īearing in mind the decade-plus development cycle, it's perhaps not surprising that Duke Nukem Forever looks and to a large extent plays like a game from long ago. In the wake of 3DR's implosion, eight developers began work piecing together the existing assets into something approaching an actual game. The story of Duke Nukem's resurrection in the wake of 3D Realms' demise in 2009 is remarkable in itself. Duke Nukem Forever in its final form is not a good game, and yet it is one that should be played for precisely the same reason that retro addicts crave those unreleased Mega Drive and Saturn titles: it's a fascinating episode of our gaming heritage, and it's a miracle that we're playing it at all. There's nothing quite so welcome in the retro community as the release - or leak - of a hitherto unpublished game, the chance to check out a slice of gaming history that, for whatever reason, was never released. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This cookie is set by GDPR Cookie Consent plugin. If you have a fish finder, you’ll want to pay attention to changes in the water column because this is where they’ll hang out during feeding time. When fishing open water you also want to increase the size of your lures. Bass are in full feeding mode at this time, so they’ll move into deep water, especially during the summer when the water temperatures are higher. You don’t want to intimidate them too much because they’ll back off, figuring that it’s not worth the fight.įor this reason, spinnerbaits work well because they’re not usually too big, they create a loud presentation, and they reflect a lot of light.ĭuring the middle of the day, you’ll want to switch up your strategy. Bass are the “scaredy cats” of the water, so they prefer to pick on the little guy. That said, here is where expertise starts to kick in. When you’re pushing your way through the cover, you’ll need a lure that will draw attention and intimidate the bass. For this reason, loud and brightly colored lures work best. When determining the best largemouth bass lures, we should keep this in mind. They’ll stay close to their spawn for protection, and this is almost always around thick vegetation. This factor is especially true during the spring when they are spawning. If you’re fishing in the morning and evening, you’ll want to look around vegetation, stumps, rocky ledges, docks, buildings, and wreckage of any kind. You need to look towards cover almost all the time. If you’ve read any of my articles, you’ll know that I preach the same gospel over and over again. ![]() Once you locate them, you’ll have no problem finding them again and again because they will remain in the same area throughout the spring, summer, and fall. When you compare that to fishing large bodies of water like inshore and offshore situations, it’s completely different. If you’re fishing in a small pond, lake, or river, it’s also good to know that bass don’t travel very far. This combination creates bass that are both protective and hungry, which is a recipe for success on the side of the angler. If I had to put a “best time” on fishing for these guys, I would suggest throughout the spring.īass spawn in the spring, and they’ve started to feed again after the long winter. The best thing about bass is that they don’t have a season you can find them all year long. ![]() ![]() ![]() One solution is to increase the failure rates while increasing the drop rates as well.Īnother way is to make recipes have various alternate components to hold prices in reasonable norms. Im a GM blacksmith so this is something I think about quite a bit. And there is still a market at that price. My prices for the nightmare and tempest robes, for example, have gone back UP just because the supply of components is not there, and no one else seems to be making or selling the product. No one hunts the mobs in question on a regular basis anymore, and while I can solo farm both, it is not a quick process. My prices dropped steadily for a while, then the supply dried up. Interestingly, the supply of some of the lower level components like nightmare arachnid silk and storm volaas har was higher the first few months PoP came out. You either have to convince a group (or two) to go kill the mobs in question, or pay the high component costs. Farming the items yourself is not a reasonable alternative for many components. In contrast, we have the higher end, mostly PoP items. I don't believe the complaint about high prices is aimed at this phenomenon. And the items being made are dumped on the market at very low prices (usually at a loss). Farming the items yourself is a reasonable alternative. However, we're talking 100 pp or less per component.the hit to the wallet is primarily due to the quantities tradeskilluppers buy. Tradeskilluppers drive the high prices on the basic commodity-level components: acrylia, hopper hides, etc. If you're going to blame anyone, don't blame the tradeskiller. I'd be happy to charge a lower price for the end product, but giving the rareity of and cost to obtain components, there's little room to come down from a 25K to 30K price range. It's like that for a lot of PoP tradeskilling components.if they're for sale, expect to spend 1K or more per component. So you're going to spend 12K to 24K on the hair alone, assuming no failures. On the occasions you see it for sale in the bazaar, it's 2000 to 4000 pp PER HAIR. For most tradeskillers attempting to get the hair directly, that requires a group (I can solo these giants, but I doubt that most can and when soloing, it takes several days to get enough hair for one attempt). The hair is fairly rare, and can be obtained only by killing ocean giants in PoS. For example, it takes 6 storm volaas hair for one attempted at a tailored robe. Then the tradeskillers get frustrated and give up, too.Īctually, the real problem with pricing is caused by the tradeskill component suppliers. The tradeskillers close the market after the initial "rush" by pricing the items so out of reach for those who would WANT to use them. Nothing is more frustrating (well actually there ar a lot of frustrating things about this game) then to spend 100 hours building your trade skill to find your product has no market value anyway. Establish that for any item it takes X hours to farm for components, that the trivial skill level has a skill modifyer value Y, and set a "Minimum and Scaled Wage" for effort by setting the: What if NPC vendors payed 1000p for an Acylia Studded Tunic, 10p for a Misty Thicket Basket. What if instead there was a base established for products of tradeskills. The only tradeskill items of any real value are from items that have really rare and difficult drop rates AND their stats are equal to or better then rare dropped mob stat loot. How can you sell for any profit a Misty Thicket Picknik Basket if someone is selling 100 of them for cost simply to clear their inventory filled by trivializing their skill. When you succeed at Acrylia Studded, again the market is flooded. The problem is, when you have gone through a great deal of pain to finally have occasional success with Wu's Armor, you find the market saturated with product by those trying to make the skill trivial. ![]() ![]() It is very fullfilling to go though a few nights of monotonous repetitive pain of farming and click click fail/pass to see a skill actually improve, and have a better chance to make something of actual "value" to the world. This provided a nice oppertunity for people to gain financial resources without having to wait or fight over uber loot. Personally I think other then for a few (very few) quests the tradeskills purpose is to provide oppertunity for revenue from various drops around Norath. ![]() ![]() ![]() At 81, pastor Charles Stanley is an evangelical icon whose sermons. “God created you and knows what He intended you to be. ![]() Tom Hodgson, who heads up search and rescue operations for the county, said the effort to rescue John Jones was the most difficult of his 30-year career. And family members are planning on setting up a memorial near the mouth of the cave. The family is working to set up a fund in John Jones' name to promote safe caving, he said. "We feel that John would want to protect the safety of future cavers," Josh Jones said. Josh Jones said that while his brother wouldn't want to "inhibit anybody from exploring or having adventures," as he was an active outdoorsmen, the family believes sealing the cave is the right thing to do, given the fact that John Jones' predicament wasn't an isolated incident. "There was nostalgia and sadness, but everybody felt it had to happen." "When we made the decision, there was no voice of dissent," Cannon said. The decision to close the cave was a unanimous one - a point that was made clear by representatives from the county, state lands, caving groups and the family. "Other areas in the cave present similar dangers." "We considered sealing off access to different portions of the cave, but thought it would not be appropriate to have recreationists going near his final resting place," Cannon said. Cannon said no other recreation area in the county has a 1-to-5 death ratio.īecause of Jones' death, officials say the area is now considered a sacred place, which reinforced the decision to seal the cave in its entirety.
