The modern mens collegiate fraternity formed from the merger of their organizations that were each known as Chi Phi. The Panhellenic community lives out its core ideology: “promote the positive, develop women and create an environment of unity and fairness.” Chi Phi fraternity was established at Princeton University in 1824. The Panhellenic community is more than 120 years old and rich with history. The Panhellenic Council at UTK is composed of 13 women’s sororities (14 in the Fall of 2024).
